Regatta Point Community Sailing, Inc. is a 501c3 charitable non-profit operated by an unpaid Board of Directors. We strive to enrich the lives of area residents and, especially, the youth of the Greater Worcester community through non-motorized water recreation. Our company was founded in 1960 when Allan Fearn, then an assistant manager at Community Boating of Boston, was approached by the state of Massachusetts to create a similar program in Worcester. Regatta Point is whole-heartedly committed to the community and has never turned away a child that can swim 75 years and tread water for three minutes. The primary services offered by Regatta point include: • Youth Lessons • Junior Program: Children 13-18 • Learn-to-Sail Camp: Children 9-13 • Guppy Camp: Children 7-9 • Adult Memberships • Adult Sailing Lessons • Family Hourly Rentals • Custom Programming for Children & Adults We support all of our business segments within the Regatta Point premises including purchasing, human resources, information technology, public relations & advertising, training & facilities development. In addition, we do almost all of our fleet maintenance onsite. All of these operations are accomplished with net revenue of $200k and $205k in expenses. The difference is made up by fundraising efforts. In keeping with our motto “Sailing for All!” we price our programs to ensure the greatest number of participants. We apply for and secure grants on top of fundraising to keep our children’s programs affordable. The present structure is our original location but had a major remodel in 1998, and was renamed the Allan E. Fearn Boathouse.
