Luigi Bortolini, aka “Gigetto” inherited from his grandmother the old tavern “Locanda con stallo alla Stella”, an eatery of the early 1900s. Located in a picturesque corner of the Treviso area, protected by the Alps surrounded by the beautiful hill landscape the Restaurant Da Gigetto is a place full of charm, that over the years has been transformed by the landlord and his wife Elda in a tasteful and elegant place. Several cozy rooms, each with a different style; ceilings with old wooden beams decorated with a rich collection of hanging pots and copper ornaments, fireplaces always lit, the town band’s collection of old musical instruments placed in a niche of the stone wall: simple furniture capable of conveying a warmth and alluring atmosphere to the guests matched with one of the most important wine cellars in Italy (1600 labels, up to 40.000 bottles from all over the world, some dating back to 1897). Cuisine is the beating heart of this amazing place, traditional dishes wonderfully presented and innovative twists for a menu that respect seasonal changes and the latest food trends.
