The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra (founded June 2016) is a Registered Charity. The orchestra seeks to satisfy a cultural desire amongst Albertans, regardless of where they live, for accessible programming of excellent Orchestral Music. With a strong emphasis on Music Education, especially outside the Calgary metro area, the RMSO is pleased to provide subsidized tickets to children & students to all of its concerts. We believe that the vast repertoire of Western Art Music should be accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic background and/or geographic location. The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra employs 45 musicians on an ad-hoc basis. The Orchestra is governed by a Volunteer Board.
