Joining the industry in 1968, stylist and salon owner Sal D'Ambrosio opened and grew his dream salon in New York. 8 years later, S-Mark was founded in 1976 when Sal moved to Arizona and opened his first salon and distribution house in Scottsdale. For close to 40 years our mission has been simple: to provide you with the kind of reliable, consistent service that used to be the norm, not the exception. In his salon, S-Mark owner Sal is inundated daily with phone calls and sales reps stopping to let him know about “this brand” or “that product”. The reality of it is.no one is looking for another shampoo or another color line. Unless you’re starting a new business you already have all of those things and are able to service clients with them. What Sal is always open to and what any salon owner always has theirs eyes open for is: solutions. Aside from liking the smell of something, the prestige of the brand, any business owner should weigh any choice they make out by the choice answering yes to one these 3 questions: Will it. Decrease my expenses? Increase profits? Make my/our job easier.and thus more efficient? S-Mark has carefully evaluated every product line, haircolor and piece of equipment carefully to pick an array of options for you that meet your needs and provide you with a series of solutions for whatever your need is.
