Founded in 1985, SP ULTRAFLEX SYSTEMS (P) LTD. made its mark in the flexible packaging and converting industry as a preferred supplier of rotogravure printing presses, lamination machines and converting slitter rewinders. Consequent to a shift in business focus in 2005, SP narrowed down its manufacturing programme to exclusively develop world class converting slitter rewinders, and started investing heavily in R&D this area. The years that followed saw the range expand to as many seven well differentiated models of converting slitter rewinders, which between them addressed the entire gamut of customer preferences. Designed to handle flexible laminates of plastic films, paper and aluminium foil, the machines are grouped into three series- the PRIMASLIT™ series with integrated unwinds, the ULTRASLIT® series with separate unwinds and the ROBOSLIT® series of Dual turret slitter rewinders. Launched in 2014, the ROBOSLIT® series represents the first lot of slitter rewinders in the sub- continent with dual turret technology, which reduces changeover times to a fraction of that in duplex slitters. SP also manufacturers reversible rewinding machines for web inspection and doctoring. The production facility is located in Mira Road, Thane, a forty minute drive from Mumbai airport.
