THE TALKING Books service, which provides 4,000 audio books every single day to people with sight loss, is now free for all blind and partially sighted people. Sellafield Ltd (formerly British Nuclear Group) is responsible for contracts on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Its activities cover remediation, decommissioning, clean-up, and plant operations, Mox (mixed oxide) fuel fabrication, waste management, and effluent treatment at two UK sites, one in West Cumbria and one at Capenhurst in Cheshire. The unit was formed by British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) in 2004. To help fund nuclear clean-up, revenue from commercial fuel recycling and manufacturing operations is managed by Nuclear Management Partners, a consortium made up of US-based URS, UK-based AMEC, and France-based AREVA.
