The Seven Swords Academy is a school of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). We concentrate on the practice of swordsmanship through the reconstruction, study and education and of the Combative Arts of the Late Medieval period. The techniques, methods and theory of HEMA are drawn from historical manuals that were written by Masters of the Art, during the Middle Ages, 500 to 600 years ago. Course fees on a monthly basis only. , Weapons include: Primary = Longsword. Secondary = Medieval Grappling, Dagger, Short Sword, Sword and Buckler, Staff, Short Spear, Dussack/Messer, Sabre. Concentration is on Blossfechten as opposed to Harnessfechten, Though harness is taken into account in methodology. Study is from historical sources, to include: Fiore dei Liberi, Filippo Vadi, Liechtneauer KdF (Doebringer, Von Danzig, Ringeck), I:33, Leckuechner, and others.
