The Stages Cycling brand launched at the 2012 Interbike tradeshow with a unique design philosophy that is now accepted and emulated by many manufacturers. In addition this pioneering product design, Stages Cycling is also responsible for bringing the concepts of calibrated ‘Active Temperature Compensation’ and accelerometer (or internal sensor) based cadence to the category, which are features that other manufactures are only now launching. Prior to that the launch of the brand name, Stages Cycling’s core product and engineering team pioneered direct force power measurement for indoor cycling, which launched in 2010 within another brand’s line.
