They both own their own businesses individually: Galleon's Gold and Our Children's Earth. They came together to start a brand new store that would support other artist to have a voice in the community. They wanted to support local art in their community by giving artist a place to sell their items, provide studio space for them to create and a classroom for a huge variety of art classes. Meet the Business Owners The Local Artisan Collective is owned and operated by Stephanie & Jenny; moms, entrepreneurs & artists that met while selling their art at local art festivals and boutiques. Over the years, they have each created a loyal following. They also enjoy helping other artists to succeed. They are working on creating an amazing community space that will offer local artists a venue to sell their work, teach classes to the community & have studio space for artists to work. Stephanie graduated college, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology and Art. She worked in social work for 17 years. She has now been working the last 8 years doing Our Children's Earth clothes, jewelry and household items. Jenny was a junior high wood shop teacher who married René, a 16th generation silversmith from Colombia. They create hand crafted fine jewelry and sell it at art festivals, through their business, Galleon's Gold Jewelry, LLC. Rene teaches silversmithing and jewelry making classes at our store.
