Our story began in 2012, when we started our city apartment programme. We visit and inspect most of our properties and, where this has not been possible, we work with trusted suppliers with whom we have an excellent working relationship. Our love of city apartments originated from many trips to European cities and staying in small (in size, but not necessarily in price) hotels in the city centre. On regular trips to Paris, several years ago, we discovered the joys of staying in an apartment at the heart of Paris’s St Germain, and have never looked back! Admittedly the apartment was literally just around the corner from the tempting outdoor food market in Rue de Buci, making it easy to pick up the few food provisions we needed, and close to an equally tempting choice of restaurants for dining out. There is no doubt that staying in a city apartment, not only gives you more space, but it immediately makes you feel like a 'local' as you settle into your home from home, and familiarise yourself with your neighbourhood. Our love affair with city apartments quickly expanded from Paris and Bordeaux, to Italian cities and towns, including Rome, Florence, Venice, Lucca, Siena and Positano. Then came Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin … London, Madrid, Seville . and extending as far as New York, Cape Town and Queenstown. We only feature destinations we know and love, and our villa programme has a definite bias towards Italy and the Greek islands! You will see from our villa collection that we also love the Balearic islands, Croatia and Portugal, and have a great selection in these destinations as well. We are able to arrange airport/station transfers, maid service and chefs, as well as many more concierge services, advice with tours and other local experiences.
