University Health Services (UHS) is the student health center at UW–Madison. We endeavor to provide high-quality care in a manner that is culturally respectful, fiscally responsible, and developmentally appropriate to student needs. Our stated mission is “To enhance learning and student success by promoting, protecting, and restoring health and well-being." University Health Services, doing business as University Health Care System, serves the communities of some 15 counties in Georgia's Central Savannah River Area and neighboring South Carolina. The system includes University Hospital with more than 580 beds, a women's center, a cancer center, and a heart center. It operates two separate nursing care facilities with a total of 249 beds, and maintains a home health care service. University Health Link is a managed care contractor co-owned by University Health Services and a group of 440 physicians serving companies in the region.
