Upbeet was created in 2017 with a mission of serving clean, healthful food for those who don’t want to sacrifice nutrition for convenience. Our quick, customizable salads and grain bowls are filled with organic veggies, grass-fed animal proteins and non-GMO vegan proteins, and housemade dressings made with clean oils like algae, avocado, hemp seed, and olive. The same goes for our organic smoothies, smoothie bowls, yogurt bowls, superfood lattes, and toast. Our veggie-forward menu is cold-prepped and filled with vibrant food that fuels life. Upbeet is all about “Good Vibes Only”, so we’re committed to serving clean, whole food without harmful chemicals and heavy processing. Our certified organic ingredients free of antibiotics, growth hormones, synthetic pesticides, petroleum-based fertilizers, municipal sewage sludge, and genetic engineering. If we can't source an organic option, then we use non-GMO or local ingredients to help avoid the toxins found in mass-market conventional products. We’re passionate about the humane treatment of animals too, so our animal proteins are only sourced from farms who responsibly raise their animals. We also aim to raise the bar in sustainability. Our goal is to be a zero waste company by composting and recycling nearly everything in each Upbeet. We don’t have to do this, but it’s what we believe is right. Our other green efforts include: the use of ENERGY STAR® equipment and LED lighting; installation of water-efficient toilets, restroom fixtures and kitchen faucets; and the use of 100% compostable cups and to-go packaging.
