Based on its research of superior Italian craftsmanship with in-depth knowledge of materials, stones, cuts and traditional manufacturing, Vhernier explores forms and reinterprets them in a playful, contemporary spirit. Proportions are often generous and the designs often hide precious details like gemstones or pavé diamonds that are smooth and shiny as silk. By applying the traditional “transparency technique,” which involves combining and overlapping of natural untreated stones in different colors, Vhernier experiments with creating “colors that do not exist in nature”.
