Villa Cora has its beginning when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy at the end of the nineteenth century, when architect Pietro Comparini was commissioned by Baron Oppenheim to design and build, out of love for a woman, an aristocratic residence, reflecting the architectural and stylistic characteristics of that era, dominated by strong decorative eclecticism. Located inside a centuries-old park surrounded by 900 square meters of lush gardens that overlooks the Boboli Gardens on the hills of Florence ,Villa Cora is only minutes away from the heart of the city. The 44 rooms and suites are located in the Main Villa and in two adjacent buildings. Each floor of the Villa is characterize by a particular style from Empress Eugénie and her passion for roses, to an oriental style to the America of the 1950s. Also the common areas, lavishly decorated from the Moresque Room, with its oriental atmosphere according to the eclectic taste that distinguishes the villa, to the Mirror room ,considered in the past as the most beautiful ballroom in the city of Florence, to the Cards Room devoted to tranquility and last but not least the White room, characterized by the majesty of a monumental fireplace and a neoclassical statue, will all will truly make you feel as an aristocratic of that time. Villa Cora is also characterized by several exclusive spaces, the Ceramics Room with The Long Bar, the Pool Bar, on the fifth and top floor of the hotel the Bellevue Roof Terrace, all perfect spot for an aperitif prior to dining in our Restaurant “Le Bistrot “during the winter season located in the Moorish room or by the open all year-round heated pool in the summer . Also available a space dedicated to the “senses” our Cigar Room. To complete the full range of services, clients can enjoy Bene Spa and fitness center. A complimentary shuttle operates at key points in the city and private parking is available.
