At Veritas we specialize in conducting tailored, site and problem-specific economic analysis to evaluate environmental, energy, and economic challenges. Our staff have expertise in the following areas: • Econometric, Bio-Economic, and Power-System Modeling • Environmental and Resource Economics • Water Resource Economics • Benefit-Cost Analysis • Econometric and Mathematical Modeling • Statistical and Uncertainty Analysis • Market and Non-Market Valuation • Air Toxins Formation and Control • QA/QC of Environmental Studies • Pharmaceutical Valuation • Survey Design and Administration We are excited about our experience with conducting economic analysis to model adoption rates of new technologies including: • Electric Vehicles • Residential Solar • New Pharmaceuticals • Electricity Service Plans We are particularly proud of our successful creation of the Residential Solar Adoption Model Software, which is used to estimate the potential market size of residential solar alternatives in their individual service territory reports through a program called Analytica. It combines an econometric model of consumers’ residential solar preferences, estimated from our 2016 Residential Solar Survey, with an individual service territory’s census-based, demographic data (e.g., gender, age, and race breakdowns by ZIP Code). The results of our research have been used by and/or presented and submitted to the U.S. House of Representatives, EPRI, USEPA, NOAA, USDOI, USFWS, USACE, FERC, the National Park Service, and numerous state regulatory agencies. Veritas’ staff have published 17 books and book chapters as well as more than 35 articles in top-tier, peer-reviewed economic, environmental, energy, engineering, and risk journals.
