The idea behind Vet Meet… Veterinary medicine is passion for science and the love for our patients. We believe that the best doctors are those who are curious, continue to ask questions and want to offer the best care possible for their patients. Questions and curiosity shape our knowledge. Our web meetings were born so we can continue to learn. We wanted to create a platform on which we can ask questions or discuss a topic and get input from colleagues and specialist around the world. We believe that approaching medicine from different angles can help us grow as doctors and provide a more rounded approach for our patients. Radiologists, neurologists, pathologists and ophthalmologists joined our meetings already, but we are thriving to add more specialties… During our meetings we… 1) Share and discuss cases: from the clinical exam to imaging/surgery/histology results. 2) Review the literature of a disease or a group of related diseases with our multidisciplinary approach. 3) Discuss recent papers and show different cases we encounter in the clinic related to a specific topic. 4) Provide a platform for veterinarians to bring interesting/difficult cases, getting feedbacks and opinions from other specialties. 5) Get nerdy and share tricks and tips on our working protocols. Once a year we also host the Imaging Summer Camp, a one week long get together with frontal lectures and workshops for advanced practitioners, residents and board certified diplomates.
