Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is a national veterans organization committed to serving the needs of all veterans. In accordance with its founding principle, “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another,” VVA will be here for as long as it takes to make sure that those who serve our country receive the care and respect they have earned. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. The not-for-profit group provides support for Vietnam veterans and their families and is the only such agency sanctioned by the US government.
