The Union for education professionals

Voice is the union for education professionals. We represent those working in the education sector, early years and childcare, ensuring that our members have the support and guidance of a strong and approachable union throughout their career. As a member, you can rely on Voice as a firm but friendly union to support you throughout your career and fight your corner. Voice has made it our mission to support, protect and listen to our members throughout their career. We believe that everybody has a right to be heard but that not every member is the same, which is why we don’t offer a one size fits all solution; at Voice, we’re dedicated to providing a personalised service to each of our members. The strength of negotiation- We prefer the force of argument rather than the argument of force. At Voice, we believe in the power of negotiation and legal action, not industrial action that is damaging to education to protect the interests and concerns of our members. Our members are as dedicated to supporting the development of the children they teach and care for as they are passionate about pursuing a fair and rewarding workplace. That’s why we’ll never ask our members to take industrial action that could be damaging to education. We support our sector instead through protest and negotiation. Members first Our success as a union is based on a commitment to our members and we frequently go beyond what’s expected to find new ways to support them. We negotiate with government departments, local authorities and private employers to seek recognition for education and childcare professionals. This is assisted by our strong position in government working groups and consultation forums. Our goal is to ensure your place of work is somewhere you feel valued, secure and rewarded. Voice deals with the agitating, the arguing, the negotiating and the planning, giving you the freedom to get on with what matters most – your job. The principal activity of the charity in is to provide support and information to people with learning disabilities who have been abused, their families and careers and to promote changes in the law and practice.
