We are the Community and Voluntary Service infrastructure support provider (CVS) and a Volunteer Centre for Broxtowe providing training and support for community organisations and volunteers for over forty years. We recruit, train and support volunteers to deliver a range of community projects that tackle complex social problems in our community and enable people to make positive changes in their lives. Through volunteering we will reduce social isolation, promote social cohesion and integration and create a safe place for cross-cultural communities. We provide: Support for Community Groups, Charities & Social Enterprises: * Business support services - funding, business planning, help with legal structures * Community & voluntary sector consultation * Development of strategic relationships & VCS networks * Represent the community & voluntary sector to local authorities & public agencies * Reprographics & design services * Room hire, office space & co-working space Volunteering: * Volunteer brokerage on behalf of local community groups * Innovative day-service placements in business administration & teaching assistant roles Community Projects: * Caring Companions, Community Befriending & Tea Room (ends May 2019) * 'Nexus' - social integration through language classes (ends September 2018) * 'Experts by Experience' - disability mentoring projects (ends March 2019) * Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme (ends 2018) * Refugee & Asylum Seeker Transport Scheme (in partnership with Trent Barton buses) (ends March 2019) * Co-working & business start-up space (ends March 2019)
