Our mission is to instill in children and youth the habits and disciplines of excellence through the performing arts. We promote a “potential achieving” environment. We value: Excellence, Hope, Hard Work, and Community. We were founded on the desire to develop human potential through leadership in music and the arts. This is based on the conviction that the arts are humanity's greatest means to achieve personal growth and social cohesion. Divisions Solano Music Conservatory provides pedagogic and comprehensive music instruction in five schools; Voice, Piano, Wind, Strings and Rhythm. Music Matters is a collaboration between public school districts, teachers, community advocates, and parents. It provides music enrichment for local public schools. Programs in concert band, strings, show choir, intro to music, ukulele and guitar provides hundreds of students with music training each year. Solano Youth Theatre offers young people instruction and support for learning skills in the area of acting, singing and dance. Students are empowered for excellence in daily practice, an understanding of music, and the ability to perform with grace and poise. Teaching Artists inspire excellence. Inspiration motivates students tackle musical challenges. We encourage parents to partner with their child and music teacher. Experienced instructors understand the importance of practice and encourage students to practice effectively. Studying music develops and transforms the young mind. Effective practicing is the key to fluent musicianship. Community Partners are also key to our success. We partner with businesses, foundations, schools, and other nonprofit organizations who provide funding, facilities, and volunteers.
