At Zest we are building the worlds first inclusive digital current account that is designed to enable anyone who wants to improve their financial capability and wellbeing achieve their financial goals. A Zest account can be opened within minutes with no credit score or address history. Zest adapts to the customer by harnessing their data to create a pro-active day-to-day banking experience. Focusing on the customer’s free-to-spend balance and ringfencing direct debits and re-occurring payments means the risk of debt or failed payments is reduced dramatically. Zest will provide the customer with clear insights into their spending with a focus on weekly budgets, giving this audience a more manageable budgeting experience. By highlighting spend trends and peak periods of spending we will encourage customers to save where possible through predictive advice and automatically moving any money remaining from their weekly budget into a virtual savings pot. We will reward our customers through targeted incentives when they stick to their weekly budgets, creating a sense of value in their change of behaviour. Zest is more than simply a digital current account. Zest will become a launch pad to help the financially excluded escape their current limitations. A Zest account will enable our customers to grow. Once they have become financially stable and confident will we help them transition or secure the financial products they require. This will be done through our financial enabler platform and partnerships where our customers are matched to more suitable products.
