Americans throw away more than 285 billion pieces of convenience trash every year, which will be in landfills and floating in the oceans 450 years from now. Tired of raging about this crisis, Elizabeth Smith, Jennifer Brody, and Karen Hoskin decided to do their part to offer a solution and reimagined reusability by launching Zoetica, a social entrepreneurship company. Zoetica, zōˈetik a, is a system that redefines and elevates the style, convenience, space-saving nature and quality of the zero-waste life by offering alternative products for each throw away item. Think of it as a “leave no trace” ethic for every day.
