Foundations is the new, free software designed specifically for childminders – by industry leader in nursery management software, Connect Childcare. Our app is FREE to download and contains features to track child progress in real-time, log key milestones, observations and daily events – such as accidents, meals, medicines and sleeps – and share key updates with parents. Our app is also designed to give childminders more free time – cutting down the hours spent on administrative processes and offering a more efficient way of working, so that they can focus on providing the highest-quality childcare. Additionally, app users are also able to link their observations to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFs), so that they can clearly monitor child progress and demonstrate how they are developing in line with the curriculum. Included in the foundations package is also access to the ‘ParentZone LITE’ app – which enables parents to engage with activity logged by childminders within foundations and upload additional imagery of their child’s development at home.
