In 2017, our founder, Mary Futher, was one of ten female founders selected by SEPHORA across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil to participate in their SEPHORA Accelerate program. This exclusive mentorship program was created to support female entrepreneurs in all areas of the beauty industry with a focus on social impact. OUR BACKSTORY: In 2009, founder Mary Futher left her career in corporate beauty and set out to create her own clean beauty brand. Being a busy senior executive meant a lot of late nights and travelling. Mary often found herself reaching for traditional makeup remover wipes for convenience, but these would constantly irritate her eyes. Soon Mary began digging deeper into the ingredients used in her everyday beauty products and was shocked to find out all the toxic ingredients she was putting onto her body everyday. That’s when she founded kaia naturals - a company devoted to taking toxins out of your beauty routine one product at a time. Launching juicy bamboo cleansing cloths as her first product, today the brand has expanded to create more award-winning products like the takesumi detox® charcoal deodorants, the takesumi detox® the underarm bar, the takesumi detox® hot baths, the takesumi detox® overnight dry shampoo, and the vitamin cleanse.
