my name is tracy wolbaum and twophotographystudio belongs to me. unlike a lot of people, my interest in photography really is about taking pictures of people. this explains how i became involved in wedding photography. of course i love catching those unique and unscripted moments that happen when people don’t know they are being photographed. they say a picture can tell 1,000 words and to me these pictures are the untold stories. it is one of the greatest feelings to get the picture that tells the story. but it also means making sure that the people i am taking the pictures of look their best. are they relaxed and happy or stiff and uncomfortable? a picture can be technically perfect and have the best lighting and composition but at the end of the day if the person doesn’t like how they look then it wasn’t successful. this might mean stopping to give some direction, changing the situation or location of the photograph to change the mood, or even just being aware if a person has something they are uncomfortable about (for me it’s my upper arms). when it comes to photography for weddings or other special events knowing how to work with people is just as important as knowing how to use a camera. i like capturing all those little details too. especially at events like weddings these details matter – a lot of time and work into creating them. these details are what brings all little stories that happened along the way together.
